Fabian Castillo Sr. Rey Feo LXXVI
Fabian Castillo, Sr., a proud native of San Antonio, hails from the city's vibrant West side where he spent his formative years. Growing up as one of five children raised by a single mother, Fabian learned the value of hard work and perseverance from an early age.
Fabian Castillo, Sr. attended Thomas Jefferson High School but found himself on a different path when he married in the 11th grade and became a father, prompting him to complete his high school education through night school, receiving his diploma in 1982. Without encouragement to pursue college, Fabian entered the workforce as a painter after high school. In 1986, he ventured into entrepreneurship and established his own successful business, initially as Fabian's Painting, later transitioning into the construction industry.
Despite not having the opportunity to pursue higher education himself, Fabian is a staunch advocate for the transformative power of education. His passion for learning and personal growth led him to become deeply involved in the Rey Feo Consejo organization, where he served on the court for Ken Flores, gaining invaluable insights into the foundation's mission and impact.
As a devoted family man and community leader, Fabian is committed to giving back to his city and supporting the next generation of students in their educational pursuits. With a heart full of gratitude and a desire to empower others, he and his wife, Vicki Castillo, embrace the opportunity to make a difference through the Rey Feo Scholarship Fund.
