The excitement of Fiesta begins with the VIA Fiesta Court Crowning, where royalty is officially introduced to the community at San Antonio transportation hub. This festive tradition celebrates San Antonio’s young leaders, showcasing their spirit, service, and pride as they join the pageantry of Fiesta.

Over the course of several weeks between January and April, Rey Feo 76, Fabian Castillo Jr., visited more than 100 schools across San Antonio, connecting directly with students and educators in a heartfelt campaign rooted in community and education. But this effort was more than ceremonial—it was a reflection of careful planning, collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of investing in our youth.

Be Inspired: The Journey of Rey Feo 76, Fabian Castillo, Jr. From the west side of San Antonio to the royal courts of Fiesta, Fabian Castillo, Jr.'s story is one of resilience and purpose. As a child, he bathed on a concrete slab at his grandmother’s home. Struggling with reading and a stutter, Fabian left high school as a junior—already a husband and father.

Rey Feo is honored by county and city leaders during Fiesta, celebrating culture, service, and education through the Scholarship Foundation.
