George Washington Parade Ball – Laredo
As part of the month-long Washington’s Birthday Celebration (WBCA) in Laredo, the George Washington Parade Ball stands out as one of the most elegant and time-honored traditions. This black-tie gala brings together community leaders, dignitaries, and guests from across Texas and Mexico for an evening of pageantry, music, and celebration.
The Parade Ball serves as the official prelude to the WBCA parade festivities, honoring George Washington’s legacy while highlighting the strong cultural ties between Laredo, its sister city across the border, and communities throughout Texas.
This year, Fabian Castillo Sr., Rey Feo LXXVI, proudly attended the Ball, representing San Antonio’s Fiesta tradition with dignity and pride. His participation reflected not only the enduring bond between San Antonio and Laredo, but also the mission of the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation—to advance education through culture, community, and celebration.
