Marty Gonzalez | Executive Minister
Marty was born and raised in Alice, Texas, where she graduated from Alice High and is a graduate of Regis University in Denver, Co. with a BS in Business Administration. Marty moved to San Antonio in 1985 with the corporate move of H-E-B Grocery Co. where she served as Advertising Account Manager until 2005. Currently she is employed by The Prestigious Mark and co-owns, Brand & Stich, Ink (since 1999).
Marty has been involved with the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo since 1987 first, through the H-E-B sponsorship and then, by serving on the Raffle Committee supporting the youth livestock show and auction and currently serves as Director Emeritus.
She is a newly appointed member of Daisy Cares, a program with the San Antonio Food Bank that collaborates to create a designated pet food program, designed to provide struggling families and individuals with pet food assistance for their four-legged family members. Cat and dog food is sourced through food drives, retail sites, and manufacturers/distributors. She is also a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier since 2005, a philanthropic group of women leaders in the fields of food, nutrition, wine, beverages, hospitality, arts of the table, agriculture, and other fields as they relate to these disciplines.
She has been a member of Beethoven Damenchor for the last 15 years but has been going to the Halle since 1986, Prost! Marty has also served three 3-year terms in the role of Elected Commissioner for the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.
And, while serving on the Alamo Community College Foundation Board of Directors for 9 Years, she was part of the team along with LULAC Council No. 2 that launched and started The Tom Sandoval LULAC Rey Feo Parent Child Scholarship Program.
Marty has served in the following roles for El Rey Feo: Prime Minister to Rey Feo 55 Dr. Leonel Reyes Jr., Special Events Minister to Rey Feo 59 Brian Weiner and, Executive Minister to Rey Feo 65 Larry Benson, Sr.She also served as a member of King Anchovy 46’s entourage for Cornyation.
Marty’s interests include traveling with friends, her dog George Strait, the Catholic church, going to her family ranch in Ben Bolt, Texas and, ALL THINGS FIESTA...VIVA!!
