Suzanne Oliva | Finance Minister

Suzanne Oliva, LL.M., J.D., CPA, Assistant Professor of Business Law, joined the Greehey School of Business faculty at St. Mary’s University in 2003. She teaches Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Business and Professional Ethics, and Legal Environment of Business. She also occasionally teaches Property Law, Insurance Law, Federal Income Taxation and Accounting for Lawyers at St. Mary’s University School of Law. In addition, she was Director of the Greehey Scholars Program for over seven years.

Prior to earning a J.D., Oliva was an auditor with the Big Four accounting firm, EY. After graduation from law school, she joined the law firm of Oliva, Saks, Garcia & Curiel LLC, and primarily concentrated her legal practice in the areas of wills, probate, estate planning, family law, personal injury law and corporate law.

She is past president of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and Foundation and was awarded the Belva Lockwood Outstanding Attorney of the Year award in 2017. Oliva is an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and enjoys live theater, concerts, sporting events and world travel with her husband, Javier, and four sons. Being in academia and seeing firsthand how a scholarship can change a student’s life, she is excited to work with Fabian Castillio and the entire Rey Feo 76 Court to raise money for the Rey Feo Foundation.
